Nintendo has surprised us all with an almost unlikely announcement, as Square Enix and Nintendo have teamed up to bring the heroes from the critically acclaimed Dragon Quest series to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate; Nintendo's critically acclaimed crossover fighting title.

While these characters had been rumored to be coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate via a leak by a pretty reliable source, it was still a bit of a long shot. Regardless, this is some very exciting news for both fans of the Dragon Quest and Super Smash Bros. series.

We still don't know if each of these new Dragon Quest characters are going to be echo fighters or every single one of them will have their own set of moves. It is likely that they're all echo fighters, but we'll have to wait for Nintendo to reveal more information about this fantastic crossover.
