Ace Combat is a series of games by Bandai Namco first released in 1992 for Arcades and would later be released for the PlayStation in 1995. In Ace Combat, players pilot a huge range of aircraft that are based on current military aircraft, as well as prototypes that never saw the light of day, and fight against fictional super weapons.

A new Ace Combat was announced in December of 2015 but not much had been known about the game with the exception of a few updates on the official site. Now, Bandai Namco has officially released a brand new trailer for Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown and it looks like it was well worth the wait.

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will take players back to Strangereal, an alternate version of our universe with very similar events, with a story that will keep adding to the Ace Combat lore. The game looks breathtaking wth its photorealistic graphics that promise to make this game the most engaging in the series thus far.

As a bonus, a VR mode is coming exclusively to the PlayStation 4 and will let players immerse themselves in the game even more. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is now available for pre-orders and will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, although we still don't have an official release date.

Ready to take to the skies once more? Set on the Usean continent, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown’s story revolves around the Second-Continental War which takes place in the year 2019. Join the Osean Air Defense Force and get involved in conflicts that cannot simply be divided into good against evil.

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown still has no release date but will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
