SNK and NIS America have teamed up to bring us their new fighting game
SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy, coming for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch
this September. The game will have some of the most popular female fighters from SNK being pitted against each other in order to become the
belle of the brawl.
While we have been getting constant updates about the game's main roster, the story of for it has been somewhat neglected—offering us only but a few hints about the plot. Today, NIS America has shared a brand new trailer that goes over some of the game's features, as well as revealing what the story in the game is.
SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy is taking place a few months after the last
King of Fighters tournament from
The King of Fighters XIV, where our heroines awake in a mysterious mansion and will have to fight their way out of it by participating in a special event. Like the very name suggests, fights will feature 2-on-2 tag matches but is also adding a new mechanic that will make things easier for players, as well as people new to fighting games.
The combat system in SNK Heroines will require no command inputs at all as multiple moves will be available from pressing a single button. We have seen something somewhat similar in
Capcom vs SNK 2 EO, where attacks could be performed by simply moving the right thumbstick in different directions. More recently, we have seen something similar in
Dragon Ball FighterZ, where players can easily pick up the controller and pull off amazing combos by pressing one single button. It seems
SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy could end up being one of those games that are easy to pick up, but difficult to master.
