Mortal Kombat fans have been speculating for weeks about the identity of the next DLC characters for Mortal Kombat 11. Debuting in April 2019, the eleventh main installment in the Mortal Kombat video game series has been going strong thanks to continued updates, tournaments and interesting additions to its roster.
Since launch, the game has added to its roster of 25 fighters with 9 DLC additions that include the Joker, Nightwolf, Spawn, Shang Tsung, Sindel, the Terminator, Fujin, RoboCop, and Sheeva.
Now, the third DLC or Kombat Pack is set to be released soon and according to dataminers, the next characters set to join the game are Rain, Rambo and Mileena. Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon has had fun teasing fans for weeks about the identity of the characters. Many fans have been clamoring for Mileena to join the game but in his most recent online trolling session, Boon said the character needed a break.
Now, the data leak has seemingly indicated that Boon was merely trying to throw fans off the scent. It's not out of the realm of possibility that NetherRealm has simply misnamed the character files to throw dataminers off track, a trick that many developers already practice.
While there's no word on exactly when the next characters will be officially revealed or made available, it's currently believed that the next DLC characters will drop around the same time as the nextgen consoles this fall.
