Mortal Kombat 11 was announced in December of last year, with NetherRealm Studios revealing that the game would be coming out for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC on the
23rd of April, with the Nintendo Switch being the exception and officially launching on the
10th of May.
The only problem was that, the Nintendo Switch is obviously underpowered when compared to the other platforms that are also getting the game. It wasn't so much the fact that it was underpowered, but the fact that none of the footage shown in any of the trailers featured footage of
Mortal Kombat 11 running on the Switch.
As mentioned above, the Nintendo Switch is still a bit under a month away from releasing, but today NetherRealm Studios has finally released a gameplay trailer of
Mortal Kombat 11 for Nintendo's handheld hybridconsole — and it looks great.
Granted, the graphics won't look exactly the same as they are on other platforms, but NetherRealm has really managed to make
Mortal Kombat 11 look great; keeping in mind that they are also aiming to keep the game locked at a stable 60FPS.
Check it out:
The all new Custom Character Variations give you unprecedented control to customize the fighters and make them your own. The new graphics engine showcasing every skull-shattering, eye-popping moment, brings you so close to the fight you can feel it. And featuring a roster of new and returning Klassic Fighters, Mortal Kombat’s best in class cinematic story mode continues the epic saga over 25 years in the making.
Mortal Kombat 11 will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on the 23rd of April.
Nintendo Switch version will release on the 10th of May.
