Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is a game that compiles 12 classic arcade
Street Fighter games that go from the original
Street Fighter, all revisions of
Street Fighter II, 3
Street Fighter Alpha games, and the 3 versions of
Street Fighter III—making
Anniversary Collection the ultimate
Street Fighter game.
Like any major
Street Fighter release, the
30th Anniversary Collection will be getting a patch that will improve on a few things across all platforms, as well as removing Akuma from
Ranked Mode in
Super Street Fighter II Turbo. Akuma was first introduced in
Super Street Fighter II Turbo but it wasn't a playable character per se, but there were certain requirements that needed to be met before even getting to fight him—as well as a code to make him a playable character.
It turns out Akuma was selectable in the
Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection version of
Super Street Fighter II Turbo and the character is pretty unbalanced and, for the lack of a better word, broken. A new patch coming to the game on the
28th of June will remove him from Ranked matches, making the whole situation a bit more fair to players around the world. Akuma will not be removed from the game, though, and will still be selectable via the code to unlock him—he just won't be available online.
There are other patch notes for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam versions of the game that fix some major issues found by players. The Nintendo Switch version of the game is still taking some more time but will also be patched soon, as promised by Capcom.
The patch notes are as follow:
