Although the brand-new Samurai Shodown — which is a game that means a reboot for the long-running sword-fighting series — was released in June of this year, SNK has kept things interesting by revealing new fighters that come in the form of DLC.

Not an hour ago, SNK released an exciting gameplay trailer for Samurai Shodown III's Basara, who will be embracing death and making his return to the series in Samurai Shodown, and players will be able to purchase him on the 15th of October via the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One stores, respectively.

Basara will be joining fellow Samurai Shodown III fighter Shizumaru Hisame — who has already become available in Samurai Shodown — as the second out of four free DLC characters; with the remaining fighters being Kazuki Kazama and Wan-Fu.

After more than a decade, Samurai Shodown is back! SNK is rebooting one of its most successful series, carrying on the legacy of past titles with a new game that retains the same thrilling battles of past titles in a graphically advanced package.

Samurai Shodown is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Nintendo Switch and PC versions to release soon.
