SNK's Samurai Shodown, a reboot for the long-running sword-fighting series, was announced for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC, but the game has only been released for two of these platforms: the PLayStation 4 and the Xbox One.
The Nintendo Switch and PC versions of
Samurai Shodown have not even been given an official release date; that is until now, at least for the Nintendo Switch.
According to official information revealed by SNK on the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu,
Samurai Shodown for the Nintendo Switch will be releasing on the
12th of December and is aiming for a buttery smooth 60 frames per second; supporting Joy-Con multiplayer.
Players who choose to pre-order
Samurai Shodown for the Nintendo Switch will get the Neo Geo Pocket version of
Samurai Shodown! 2, so there's even more incentive for players to pre-purchase the game.
We still don't know official release date for the Western release of
Samurai Shodown for the Nintendo Switch, but it is likely that both versions will end up becoming available on the same day; much like its release for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Sadly, we still don't have any news regarding the PC release.
After more than a decade, Samurai Shodown is back! SNK is rebooting one of its most successful series, carrying on the legacy of past titles with a new game that retains the same thrilling battles of past titles in a graphically advanced package.
Samurai Shodown is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Nintendo Switch and PC versions to release soon.
