We have some great news for fans of the Samurai Shodown series, as SNK has just dropped a brand-new gameplay trailer that focuses completely on Iroha — which reveals that the beloved Samurai Shodown VI character will actually become available next week; on Wednesday the 13th of May, to be more precise.
In January of this year, SNK announced that four new characters would be added to Samurai Shodown via a paid DLC, which included Mina Majikina, Sogetsu Kazama, and Iroha. The fourth character is still a mystery, so we will have to keep waiting a little bit longer for the developers to reveal it.
So far, SNK had been releasing these characters on a monthly basis, but Iroha definitely took a little bit longer than a month to be released — since many players expected this returning fighter to join the roster at some point in April.
It is impossible to tell if Iroha releasing a bit over a month late has anything to do with the Coronavirus outbreak, but chances are that this is the case. If so, it is also likely that the PC version of Samurai Shodown will suffer a delay.
We don't know when the PC version of Samurai Shodown will finally release, but we do know that it was at some point in Q1 of this year. In the meantime, don't forget to watch the exciting new gameplay trailer for Iroha down below.
