SAMURAI SHODOWN: PlayStation 4 Players Are Having Trouble Downloading Basara; SNK Addresses The Issue

The new Samurai Shodown was released in June of this year, and SNK almost immediately announced that quite a handful of new characters would be added to the game; the best news was that most of them are actually completely free.

Basara was among the new characters that would be added to the game via a free update, which was actually made available today. The update didn't go as smoothly as planned, however, since PlayStation 4 users began reporting that they couldn't download the character at all.

Just an hour ago, SNK addressed this issue and stated that they are currently working with Sony to fix the problem and deliver Basara to players as soon as possible. As of this writing, SNK has yet to update us on the news; hopefully they'll be able to fix the issue soon.

After more than a decade, Samurai Shodown is back! SNK is rebooting one of its most successful series, carrying on the legacy of past titles with a new game that retains the same thrilling battles of past titles in a graphically advanced package.

Samurai Shodown is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Nintendo Switch and PC versions to release soon.
