In June of this year, SNK's brand-new
Samurai Shodown released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One; the Nintendo Switch and PC versions of the game, however, didn't even have an official release date at the time.
While SNK did announce all of the platforms that
Samurai Shodown would be available on, for some unknown reason the Nintendo Switch and PC versions of this new entry in the long-running sword-fighting series were being pushed back.
In the case of the Nintendo Switch version it is slightly more understandable, considering that the hardware if less powerful and the new
Samurai Shodown is a graphically demanding title; the PC version not releasing in time is a little bit more of a mystery, though.
Earlier this month, SNK revealed that
Samurai Shodown for the Nintendo Switch would be releasing on the 12th of December in Japan, but they didn't give us a date for the Western release until today; well, kind of.
SNK has just released a new gameplay trailer for
Samurai Shodown on the Nintendo Switch, finally revealing that it will become available at some point in the first quarter of 2020; considering that the game releases in December in Japan, we could be looking at a January or February release in the West; still no mention of the PC version.
