Season 2 of
Samurai Shodown was scheduled to release on the 26th of February worldwide, but SNK ran into a problem and the first DLC character, Mina Majikina, was not released in every region as originally planned.
According to information revealed by SNK,
Samurai Shodown's Season Pass 2 for the PlayStation 4 was only released in North America on the 26th, although European players will have to wait a little bit longer for the character to become available.
The developer informed that Mina Majikina is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in North America — as of today, in fact — and in Europe with the exception of the PlayStation 4 version. According to SNK, European PlayStation 4 players will have to wait until the 2nd of March for Mina Majikina to finally become available.
With the announcement, SNK also took the opportunity to apologise to European PlayStation 4 players for the inconvenience, revealing also that those who decide to purchase the character individually will get "
the same overall offer and price as other regions," and that they are working on a way to balance out the price of the Season Pass 2 if players purchase Mina even when they've already purchased the game's Season 2.
After more than a decade, Samurai Shodown is back! SNK is rebooting one of its most successful series, carrying on the legacy of past titles with a new game that retains the same thrilling battles of past titles in a graphically advanced package.
Samurai Shodown is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Stadia.
PC version expected to launch in Q1 of 2020.
