Namco Bandai announces "true sequel" to SoulCalibur will be hitting next year for Xbox 360 and PS3, plus debut trailer

Namco Bandai has announced that the fifth game in the SoulCalibur series will be coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2012.

Project Soul team producer Hisaharu Tago made the announcement during the publisher's annual Level Up showcase event, and revealed a "true sequel" for the fighting game franchise, which is set 17 years after the events of SoulCalibur IV.

They also revealed the debut trailer for SoulCalibur V, which we've included below.



SoulCalibur V is due for release sometime in 2012.
