SoulCalibur VI returns to the times and event from the first chapter of the series to retell the history of the two swords. The developer has previously announced that we will have a chance to meet familiar faces, but we will also fight debuting heroes and villains. The newest character trailer presents some new gameplay features and reveals a small part of a potentially huge roaster.

The trailer reveals the return of Nightmare, Xianghua and Kilik, the battlefield veterans. It also gives us the first chance to meet debuting Groh who's fighting style is pretty spectacular. The gameplay looks super sharp and dynamic, so hopefully we will have to face out opponents in the ring and not the festival of madness (looking at you, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite). The game should release this year.

SOULCALIBUR VI represents the latest entry in the premier weapons-based, head-to-head fighting series and continues the epic struggle of warriors searching for the legendary Soul Swords. Taking place in the 16th century, revisit the events of the original SOULCALIBUR to uncover hidden truths.
