Yesterday, during the Grand Finals for the Capcom Cup 2018, Capcom revealed Kage as the latest character to be introduced in
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition as part of the new Season 4 for the game.
Kage is the very embodiment of Ryu's Satsui no Hado, the dark energy that consumes him and Akuma; described by Capcom as a character who lives to prove Ryu he is nothing without him. In simpler words, Kage is not Evil Ryu, but what came out of Ryu when he mastered the Power of Nothingness and got rid of the Satsui no Hado.
As the embodiment of the Satsui no Hado, and having been expelled by Ryu, Kage shares a similar moveset to that of the characters who practice Shotokan while also being able to pull off some Hado techniques like the Shoryuken, Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku, and the iconic Hadoken.
After Kage was revealed as the new character for
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, Capcom also released an introduction video that well, introduces us to Kage as both a character and a fighter; showing off some of the lethal moves he's capable of pulling off in combat.
