NetherRealm Studios'
Mortal Kombat 11 was probably one of the most unexpected, and for the same reason most surprising, video game reveals last year. The announce trailer was very effective in showing us the game's updated graphics and the same level of violence we've come to expect from the
Mortal Kombat series.
Perhaps the one thing that was a bit of a mixed bag amongst long-time fans of the series was the odd selection of music; for some, the music didn't quite fit the tone of
Mortal Kombat, and for others it was a nice and welcomed change for NetherRealm's gory fighting series.
Today, during the
Mortal Kombat 11 reveal event, NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros Games released a brand-new gameplay trailer for the game, which sees some familiar faces making a return, as well as some familiar faces being ripped from their skulls.
Music selection is still a hit or miss, but there's no doubt this new gameplay trailer for
Mortal Kombat 11 will have fans eagerly anticipating the game's release on the
23rd of April for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC.
Take a look:
The all new Custom Character Variations give you unprecedented control to customize the fighters and make them your own. The new graphics engine showcasing every skull-shattering, eye-popping moment, brings you so close to the fight you can feel it. And featuring a roster of new and returning Klassic Fighters, Mortal Kombat’s best in class cinematic story mode continues the epic saga over 25 years in the making.
Mortal Kombat 11 will be available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC on the 23rd of April in 2019.
