A month ago, the Moscow-based developer Mundfish announced that
Atomic Heart spin-off
Soviet Luna Park VR has been canceled and the game's servers will be shut down on March, 1, 2019.
According to the studio, this decision was made to allow the relatively inexperienced developer focus on
Atomic Heart, that is coming to PS4, XO, and PC, but it doesn't have an official release date just yet.
At its core,
Atomic Heart is an action RPG with FPS elements set in the alternate version of the USSR and IGN has recently shared an all-new 10-minute-long gameplay footage showcasing the strikingly beautiful world of
Atomic Heart. The upcoming game will put you in Agent P-3's shoes, a KGB officer who is trying to figure out why the mysterious and technologically advanced Facility 3826 went dark.
In this alternate universe, another major technological revolution powered by Communism has already happened, as robots, the Internet, holograms and other futuristic stuff make everyday life of the Soviet citizens better, easier, and a little bit brighter. But on the flip side, the said revolution has also driven some USSR scientist mad, as Mother Russia will have to face even a bigger threat – Mother Nature.
Be sure to take a closer look at the wonderfully bizarre world of
Atomic Heart in the gameplay below:
