A Nearly 30 Minute Long Gameplay Video Of BATTLEFIELD V Campaign Has Been Released

Unlike this year's Call of Duty, Battlefield V will feature a proper single-player component. The campaign titled War Stories will transport us to different parts of the World War 2, giving you a chance to play as a young resistance fighter who does her best to save her people in the occupied Norway, or a member of Senegalese units that fight Nazis to liberate France they've never even seen before.

Actor Mark Strong, known for his roles in the Kingsman and Sherlock Holmes series, lends his voice to the War Stories prologue and the recently released trailer to help set the tone for Battlefield V and unify the different arenas of war under a shared human experience. The player will also have a chance to try to save an unit during the German assault in Africa in a post-launch final episode The Last Tiger.

Game Informer recently had a chance to check out the episodes set in Norway and France, and you can check out their extended walkthrough down below. While solo campaigns are usually the worst parts of the Battlefield series, it's nice to see a game that doesn't forget about the players that still enjoy a good, solo story. The fact that you can try to win the war while skiing makes it only more... interesting.

Enter mankind’s greatest conflict with Battlefield V as the series goes back to its roots with a never-before-seen portrayal of World War 2. Lead your squad to victory with new ways to turn the battlefield to your advantage. Assemble your Company of customized soldiers, weapons, and vehicles – then take them on an epic journey through the Tides of War. Experience the most intense, immersive Battlefield yet. You will never be the same.

Battlefield V launches for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Origin on November 20, 2018.
