Criterion, known for their driving games -Burnout, several Need for Speed- are responsible for developing Firestorm, the battle royale mode of Battiefield V. They had also recently worked with DICE on Star Wars Battlefront II.

A unique aspect of this BR mode is that a maximum of 64 players will compete. It will offer vehicles, destructible environments and the own arsenal of the Second World War.

Last August it had been confirmed that DICE did not work directly in this mode, which will arrive after the launch.

This BR mode is the response of Electronic Arts to games like Fortnite, PUBG or Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII, although this time it will have objectives in the Conquest style: some will be random and others will be located in fixed locations.

Battlefield V will be available on November 20 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
