Electronic Arts has released a new trailer for
Battlefield 5 ahead of Gamescom next week. The trailer, titled "Devastation of Rotterdamn," offers an intense look at the explosive gameplay of
Battlefield 5 while showcasing some new maps and the devastating destruction that can occur as a result of the war. The trailer is comprised of in-game footage and while your team may not be as coordinated as the trailer makes the gameplay out to be, it certainly looks impressive nonetheless.
But the real excitement comes towards the end of the trailer, as EA teases us with our first glimpse of
Battlefield 5's battle royale mode. Although EA confirmed the mode back at E3, this is our first look at the new mode. As with most battle royale games, there will be a circle that encloses and makes the map smaller as time progresses. While
Fortnite - the current most popular battle royale game - has a storm that closes,
Battlefield 5 will use a giant circle of fire to force players inwards towards the center. Unfortunately, aside from a brief glimpse of a tank, that's all we get to see. But, with Gamescom around the corner, hopefully, we find out more about
Battlefield 5 's battle royale mode soon.
Battlefield 5 is set for release on October 19 with EA and Origin Access subscribers getting early access on October 11. Are you excited for battle royale in
Battlefield 5?
