Battlefield V will see the return of a number of game modes that fans of the franchise have come to love, but there are some new additions coming to EA and DICE's upcoming title.

The new mode that has easily received the most attention is the new battle royale-style mode, which was even teased in the recent Gamescom trailer. But while this feature has many excited, some were concerned that DICE were diverting resources away from other elements of the game in order to create their battle royale mode.

And though this has been nothing more than a concern, there have been rumors floating around claiming that this is in fact the truth. In response, the devs behind Battlefield V revealed, via a response on Reddit, that this new feature is actually being handled by another studio.

While this answer has certainly put some fans at ease, it is a cause for concern for other gamers, as they begin to wonder if this means the quality of battle royale-style will be lower than other modes.

Unfortunately, it's impossible to answer this question until Battlefield V is released and players get to try it first-hand. Still, it would be nice to learn which studio is working on it, so we could at least know if it was in good hands.
