After months of smaller and bigger leaks,
Borderlands 3 was officially announced during last week's PAX East 2019, but many important details on the upcoming looter shooter haven't been shared yet.
For example, we know that
Borderlands 3 will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, but fans of the series who play on PC have been wondering if they will be able to buy the title the threequel on Steam, the Epic Games Store, GOG.com, Discord, or any other major digital distribution platform.
According to the latest teaser trailer for
Borderlands 3 (that has been recently taken down by Gearbox), the game is, in fact, another Epic Games Store exclusive. While this is definitely not a confirmed information, the fact that the logos in the bottom left corner of the video are the 2K, Gearbox Software, and EGS emblems clearly suggests that you won't be able to purchase
B3 through Steam.
Furthermore, another (also deleted by Gearbox) promo piece for
Borderlands 3 may have revealed its release date: September 13, 2019. Given that
Borderlands 2 hit stores in the September of 2012, that release window would make a lot of sense. While it sounds pretty crazy, remember that until anything is officially announced, consider everything reported on this subject nothing more than a rumor.
More official details on
Borderlands 3 will be revealed by Gearbox on April 3rd – this Wednesday.
Borderlands 3 is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
