Video game franchises have proven to be one of the most difficult to adapt in live-action on the big screen properly. In recent years that has begun to change with positive receptions to films like Detective Pikachu and Sonic the Hedgehog. Still, some games are tougher to adapt than others, and the Borderlands franchise is a perfect example. Eli Roth's live-action adaptation of the bloody series has wrapped filming with the full cast list announced though no date has been confirmed for the film's release as of yet.
The film boasts an impressive and talented cast, with Cate Blanchett (Thor: Ragnarok) suiting up as Lilith the Siren, Kevin Hart (Jumanji) stepping into the shoes of Roland, and Jack Black (School of Rock) taking on the incredible role of Claptrap. Additionally, Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween) is portraying Dr. Patricia Tannis, and child actress Ariana Greenblatt (Avengers: Infinity War) is taking on the challenge of portraying one of the most difficult characters to adapt - Tiny Tina.
We had the incredible opportunity to speak with Greenblatt in support of her performance in this week's release of The Boss Baby: Family Business. While we had her, we had to get some tidbits on what's to come for Tiny Tina in the film. We actually learned quite a bit - including that she did all of her own stunts despite having a stunt double, and she explained how her dance experience helped lend to her ease when it came to the fight choreography in Borderlands - all of which you can view below in our video chat.
