The newest instalment in the mainline Call of Duty first-person shooter series launched earlier this month. Call of Duty: Vanguard takes the series back to its roots, being set during the second world war. This latest instalment is developed by Sledgehammer Games and features the usual trio of modes: a singleplayer campaign, a zombies survival mode, and online multiplayer. It's the latter that's in focus today.
For the next four days, the multiplayer portion of Call of Duty: Vanguard is available for free. Every map, mode, weapon, operator and more can be tried out on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. This free trial is active from November 18th until November 22nd, at 10AM to be specific. Any progress you make in-game during this free trial, be it levelling up through the ranks or certain unlocks, should carry over to the game itself, providing you choose to purchase it.
This trial coincides with the release of a brand new multiplayer map, one that longtime fans of the shooter series will no doubt be familiar with. Shipment, hailing from the fourth Call of Duty instalment: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The base game itself features seventeen maps, a selection that will continue to expand throughout the game's life cycle.
