Destiny 2's first major expansion,
Curse of Osiris, is officially live today.
Available across all platforms,
Curse of Osiris expands the universe by adding an all-new cinematic story with new and returning characters; a new destination to explore (Mercury and its Infinite Forest); new missions, strikes, and free roam activities; and, of course, new raid content. The light level has also been increased to 330.
While we're not exactly getting an entirely new raid with
Curse of Osiris, a new kind of Activity -
Raid Lairs - is being introduced. These are shorter, but more intense raiding experiences set in and around the current Leviathan raid. The first Raid Lair Activity is called "The World-Eater," though it's unclear when exactly this will unlock.
Curse of Osiris is the first of two planned expansions for
Destiny 2. It's arrival comes just shortly after Bungie - facing intense criticism for some shady game mechanics and lack of end game content - posted an in-depth blog about
the future of the game.
