Bungie has delivered a trailer for
Destiny 2: Forsaken's Season of Opulence. The third extension of end-game content for those who own the Annual Pass, Season of Opulence will introduce new challenges, loot, and lore — including a brand-new six-player matchmade activity called the Menagerie.
The trailer doesn't really dive into details regarding the Season of Opulence or the Menagerie, but Bungie did offer a very brief overview.
Calus would see you grow stronger through The Chalice of Opulence, which serves as a Guardians gateway to treasure in the Season of Opulence. Players who best the Menagerie, a new six player matchmade activity, will use the Chalice to create an offering of runes in exchange for the specific weapons and armor that they seek. Over time, Guardians will be able to upgrade the Chalice to acquire more plentiful and powerful rewards.
Season of Opulence and Menagerie content will be delivered throughout the course of several weeks. New Menagerie bosses will be introduced throughout the first month of June, culminating with the release of a Heroic difficulty setting on June 25. While normal difficulty will allow for matchmaking, Heroic willr equire a pre-made fireteam.
What will you find in the Emperor's Lost Vaults? Welcome to the Season of Opulence. Travel to a new part of the Leviathan to uncover its hidden treasure-filled Catacombs. For every player of Destiny 2, Season of Opulence will bring new rewards and challenges. As ranks in Crucible, Gambit, and Vanguard activities reset, new pinnacle weapons are available for players to reach their maximum potential. Across the spectrum of action and activity, players can earn more Power, Triumphs, lore, and vanity.
As the Season of Opulence progresses, new quests will be introduced that lead to powerful rewards and Exotic gear to bring you to 750 power. This includes the Tribute Hall and Moments of Triumph openng up on July 9, followed by the Solstice of Heroes on July 30.
Destiny 2: Forsaken's Season of Opulence begins June 4. Bungie has yet to fully divulge details, but we do have a gameplay calendar that teases content through August.
