DESTINY 2: Why I'm Returning (But Still Not Purchasing Any DLC Yet)

It's been nearly 3 months since my last serious Destiny 2 gaming session. But when it seems like everyone else is running to The Division or Warframe, I'm opting to return.

It's no secret that Bungie has dropped the ball a bit regarding end-game content for Destiny 2. But a recent blog post promising sweeping changes was enough to entice this jaded Destiny 1 veteran to dust off his copy and step foot into the Crucible once again. 

Am I fooling for being so optimistic?  Or is Bungie simply retreading the same footsteps and gearing up for a redemption arc similar to what occurred in Destiny 1 with The Taken King?  Share your thoughts in the comment section below and let us know if you've jumped off the hype wagon or if you'll also be sticking out the leaner years in hopes of something more in Year 2.
