Here at Gamefragger we got a special treat for fans as we recently got to interview the legendary actor Oded Fehr (The Mummy, Resident Evil), who has acted as the voice of the misunderstood hero Osiris in Destiny 2! Read on down below to check out the full transcript of what it was like for Oded becoming the voice of Osiris and of his possible return in the near future of Destiny!

GF: Did you know anything about Destiny before signing to play Osiris?

Oded: “I didn’t know enough I could tell you that for sure, my son loves playing the game. He is a big fan, so I know the Destiny game through him. I really don’t have much time to play video games, and I play with him sometimes but im not as good as him. My connection with Bungie was actually an interesting one back when I bought my first Mac in 98 I was playing Marathon which is a Bungie game. I actually have a picture of me and my friend in costume for the Mummy with an ethernet computer playing Marathon. It was so ground breaking and we were so in love with the game, playing our own maps and against each other. It was just really a lot of fun. “I was so intrigued when they contacted me for the role, I loved the character. He was one of the characters that I liked, that was misunderstood and arrogant and kind of dark character.

GF: What was it like and what kind of direction did they give you?

Oded: “Well the wonderful thing about it was that they kind of worked with me to try and figure out how we should portray the character, they told the back story and the plan for him and all the rest of it. And we kind of discussed the director and I about how we could kind of bring that to life in the character.” “We tried to give as much life in the fact that he is sometimes arrogant and sometimes impatient and he kind of just pushes through to do what he believes to do is the right thing.”

GF: Were there any special things you had to do when preparing for the role?

Oded: “Other than bulking up and performing stunts, not really. No not really as far as actors are concerned you are always doing some kind of voice work and warm ups. So I did not have to do really any special preparation besides stopping my 14 year old son from losing his mind. He has been on sets with me since he was 3 years old, seeing things blow up and daddy running and shooting guns, but literally nothing has compared to me voice acting as Osiris in Destiny 2. He was so excited about it.

GF: What is your favorite quote from Osiris?

Oded: “Wow that’s a good question, I loved the way they had played it in the trailers saying “But the one thing they didn’t expect was you.”

GF: So whats next for you?

Oded: “Well there is a project that I’m working on, and they have asked us not to say anything about it at the moment, its not a voice over. It’s a tv project. I think they are planning on bringing Osiris back and i’m excited to come back for it.”

As mentioned above, when asked about what is next he mentioned "I think they are planning on bringing Osiris back and I'm excited to come back for it."

What does this hold for the future of Destiny? Do you think that Osiris will make an appearance in the near future of Destiny?
