Guardians will get the chance to return to the depths of Venus to navigate the fractures in space and time, and terminate Atheon, Time's Conflux, next week as Bungie is set to release the classic first raid from the original Destiny, Vault of Glass, in Destiny 2 next week. The raid will be free to all players and guardians around the world have the opportunity to take on the classic raid in a unique world first raid race.
At launch, Vault of Glass will have both a "Contest Mode" and a "World First race", and Guardians who are training to beat the classic raid will need to also complete challenging Triumphs.
- Vault of Glass will launch with "Contest Mode" enabled for 24 hours
- Players will need to be at 1300 power to be at the cap for all of the raid encounters
- Clearing Vault of Glass in "Contest Mode" is the first step to acces the new "Challenge Mode" in the Director and the Tempo's Edge Triumph.
- Completing Tempo's Edge, a curated list of Triumphs, in this newly unlocked Challenge Mode, will allow a fireteam to cross the World First finish line and claim their prize.
- Teams will be wiped if they fail the success conditions during an encounter.
Guardians who finish the raid promptly will be eligible for Bungie Rewards by unlocking the ability to pick up exclusive items from the Bungie Store upon compleation.
The race kicks off at 10am PST on May 22nd!
