Bungie has confirmed today that Destiny's Valentine's event "Crimson Days" will not take place this year, but while that may disappoint many of you, community manager DeeJ has explained why this decision may actually be for the best. Is it because they're just way too busy with the sequel?
Er, not exactly! "First things first: Crimson Days will not be making a return this year. We enjoyed adding some gunfire to your date night, but we have other plans. Instead, we’re dedicating our efforts to delivering different things for you to play." While Destiny 2 is expected to be released this year, it's good that Bungie is still concentrating on making the first instalment a big draw for players.
Plus, he went on to make it clear that they still have other early-year plans for the beloved title. "[The Live Team's] next content update is taking shape. We’re super excited to tell you about it – but not so excited that we’ll jump the gun. There will come a time when we’ll take a seat on our streaming set to talk about how we’ll spend the springtime together. That moment will come closer to the thaw."
The loss of "Crimson Days" is definitely disappointing, especially as it contained so many perks. It's unclear how many more updates are coming, but Destiny remains popular, so at least Bungie is still working on it! We'll just have to wait and see, but let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
