Piggybacking off the announcement that DOOM Eternal will also be making its way into the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, Bethesda has announced that the critically acclaimed demon-slaying title will also be getting its very first campaign expansion in the future.
"The Ancient Gods, Part One" is the new campaign revealed for DOOM Eternal, and it seems that the Doom Slayer will be personally asked by, well, the ancient gods to help them defeat the demons from Hell. No, seriously, let's take a minute to reflect on how ridiculously awesome that sounds.
Bethesda only shared the teaser trailer for "The Ancient Gods, Part One", but they do promise players that the full trailer reveal will be shared on Thursday the 27th of August at 2:00PM Eastern Time / 11:00AM Pacific Time / 7:00 PM British Summer Time during the GamesCom Opening Night Live.
Unfortunately, not much was shared in this teaser trailer, but it did manage to get fans of the long-running DOOM series excited to see what the developers at id Software and Bethesda have in store for the critically acclaimed DOOM Eternal's future, especially since this is only part one of a new campaign, so we should expect even more content from the devs.
