Bethesda has just announced, and released Update 2 for the critically acclaimed DOOM Eternal, and this time there are no sneaky Denuvo Anti-Cheat systems to ruin the experience for players. No, this time around there are actually quite a bit of things for players to actually look forward to.
As revealed by Bethesda on the official website for DOOM Eternal, Update 2 is adding a brand-new Battlemode arena called Torment, which the developers describe as an outpost filed by the UAC after the Doom Slayer stoped Hell's invasion of Earth.
The developers also reveal two new events in the form of Castle Grayscale and Hack to the Future III, with the former being available from the 25th of June(today) through the 2nd of July, and the latter kicking off on the same 2nd of July and available until the 6th of August.
Hack to the Future II is definitely the one that long-time fans of the DOOM series will anticipate the most, as it will be featuring some retro versions of the Revenants in their classic 2D sprite. As perfectly put by the developers: "When this baby hits 88 frames per second, you're gonna see some serious sh*t!"
Last but not least, Update 2 for DOOM Eternal is also bringing some improvements for all platforms, and Bethesda promises that even more Empowered Demons will be showing up on the game's main campaign to give players even more of a challenge.
Latency problems in Battlemode have also been fixed, some improvements have also been made to DOOM Eternal's menus, and more So be sure to check out Update 2's full patch notes by clicking right here, and don't forget to watch its trailer down below .
