Far Cry 5: Hours of Darkness will give you a chance to channel your inner Kirk Lazarus and fight the Vietcong in the upcoming DLC. But the quest won't be easy, as you will say goodbye to Hope County and hello to the dark jungles of Vietnam. You're Wendell "Red" Redler, you have only one mission - rescue your imprisoned squadmates and survive long enough to reach the extraction point.
Hours is included in the Season Pass and Gold Editions of
Far Cry 5, but also can also be purchased as a standalone DLC for $11.99. After finishing it, you'll unlock two additional modes,
Survivor Mode, which strips down your weaponry and ramps up the challenge to provide a more authentic experience, and
Action Movie Mode, which gives you additional weapon slots and enhances the airstrike ability.
Additionally, all players, even those who don't own the DLC, can use the Vietnam-themed assets in
Far Cry Arcade right now. The PCGamesN crew recently had a chance to test their survival instincts and you can check out their recorded experience with
Far Cry 5: Hours of Darkness down below:
Wendell Redler is more than just a Hope County resident, he’s a veteran soldier of the Vietnam War. Listen to him recount his glory days, as you travel back in time to war-torn Vietnam to take down Viet-Cong. Trapped behind enemy lines, rescue your squad mates and evacuate to safety in the first war-based Far Cry. You must maneuver throughout this remote valley in Vietnam, and use survival instinct and stealth to save your team and get home.
Far Cry 5: Hours of Darkness will be coming to PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on June 5, 2018.
