It's that time of year when developers typically update their games to celebrate Halloween. Although Season 6 of
Fortnite already has a fall/autumn feel to it, the battle royale map has been further updated for Halloween.
If you haven't logged into
Fortnite yesterday, the map features some spooky Halloween decorations. Scattered around Tilted Towers and Pleasant Park, you'll see ghost decorations hanging from streetlights. Additionally, some of the houses in Pleasant Park are further decorated with giant spiders, spider webs, jack-o'-lanterns, and fog machines.
In addition to decorations, it's likely that Fortnite's item shop will be updated with Halloween cosmetics. The Season 6 Battle Pass is already filled with some seasonal outfits that could pass for Halloween, including Dire (a werewolf) and Dusk (a vampire). It's possible we'll get even more fun cosmetics over the next few weeks.
It's also possible that Epic has something even bigger planned - like, maybe a new limited time game mode.
Fortnite streamer Ninja
previously teased that he was "pumped for Halloween." We'll hopefully find out why soon.
