It's finally actually happening! Season 3 of Fortnite Battle Royale wraps up today and Epic Games is wasting no time before jumping into the next season. The developer took to social media today, posting what looks to be the final teaser before the arrival of season 4, which officially begins tomorrow!
In the image accompanying today's announcement, you can clearly see four characters approaching what appears to be a meteor crater with some glowing orange tinge. For weeks now players have been tracking a meteor in the sky above the map, but the big question has always been where will it hit? The popular theory is Tilted Towers, but nobody knows for sure. A growing theory, which stems from an apparent leak, is that the meteor will instead strike Dusty Depot. Apparently you can see power lines in the most recent image (below).
Over the past few days, Epic has been teasing the upcoming season, posting images of the meteor what what looks like superhero characters inside. This has led some to believe Season 4 will be themed around superhero and villain cosmetics, but again, this is only speculation. Seeing as how Epic has been tight-lipped about all details pertaining to the new season, don't expect any actual information until the update drops tomorrow.
The start of Season 4, of course, means today is your last chance to finish your challenges and obtain any remaining rewards you may have left with you Battle Pass.
Season 3 ends at tomorrow 7:30am GMT which is likely when downtime will begin for Patch v4.0.0.
