Over the past few weeks, players have discovered leaked game files pointing towards a crossover event between Fortnite and Marvel's upcoming blockbuster Avengers: Endgame. The event was officially confirmed today developer Epic Games who tweeted a teaser image for it.
The image features one of the game's characters donning Captain America's shield along with the caption, "Whatever it takes." That line has become the tagline for the upcoming movie as waht is left of Earth's mightiest heroes will literally have to do whatever it takes to stop Thanos, the Mad Titan.
This isn't the first time Fortnite has celebrated an Avengers movie with an event. Last year, for Infinity War, the game had an event in which players could find the Infinity Gauntlet, transform into Thanos, and wield his powers. Based on the image for the Fortnite x Avengers: Endgame event, it seems this event will focus more on the Avengers themselves.
Details have not been announced, but the event is slated to begin on April 25, 2019, one day before Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26.
