Epic Games has announced an official
Fortnite crossover with
Star Wars. It's nothing to do with the movies themselves, though, but rather a
Star Wars video game that releases today!
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sees the player assume the role of a Jedi Padawan who survived the Jedi Purge (A.K.A. Order 66) and must traverse the Imperial-ridden galaxy in an attempt to complete his training.
As was suggested by some prior leaks, there's currently a Fortnite skin available based on the iconic Imperial Stormtroopers of the
Star Wars franchise. It's available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. To get your hands on this skin, it appears that you'll have to purchase
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order from the Epic Games Store.
It's unclear whether this will be all there is to the crossover as there's also an Imperial Star Destroyer approaching from the distance in the skies of the battle royale game. Perhaps there will be more content to do with
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order or even
Star Wars: Episode IX — The Rise of Skywalker (which arrives in theatres next month).
