The hit battle royale building game, Fortnite, is going strong this year. Developer Epic Games has revealed the first big Fortnite tournament/event of 2019. The upcoming tournament is titled Secret Skirmish and will have a price pool of $500,000.

The tournament will run for two days February 14 and 15 with no specified location yet. The game's official channels will be streaming the event. The participants will be the same players from previous Open Fortnite competitions. This is everything the studio has shared.

"You can expect the same high-powered matches as TwitchCon and PAX, but also expect us to explore additional… operations…during the two days of competition," states Epic Games.

The developer says that it can't wait to see what level of play the competitors will bring to the event. Players will be able to "explore additional operations" during the competitoins. We don't know what this means but as soon as Epic reveals more, we will let you know.
