Ahead of E3 next month, there are rumors that Epic Games' insanely popular survival-builder/battle royale game
Fortnite could be coming to Nintendo Switch. The rumor stems from a leaked document
posted on 4chan by someone who claims it is part of Nintendo's E3 showroom display planning. Kotaku believes it to be real as they've also heard rumors of
Fortnite on Switch.
A source familiar with Epic Games’ plans, speaking anonymously to protect their career, also told Kotaku earlier this week that Fortnite would be coming to Switch. Epic Games did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
At this point, it's unclear if the port will include Fortnite's free Battle Royale mode, its 'Save the World' PvE mode, or both. However, it's hard to imagine a port coming to Switch without Battle Royale, especially since its available on just about every other platform every there.
The document also features Nintendo marketing materials for Paladins, Dragon Ball FighterZ, FIFA 19, the previously announced Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, and unannounced games Killer Queen Black and Overcooked 2. Kotaku has also heard that Dragon Ball FighterZ has been planned for the Switch, which is potentially further proof that the document is real and that Fortnite will be announced for Nintendo's console.
Fortnite Battle Royale is currently available on PC, Xbox, PS4, and iOS, with plans to bring it to Android soon.
