For weeks now, it's been rumored that Fortnite would be introducing a collaboration with the popular anime One-Punch Man. And with Chapter 6 Season 3 being superhero-themed, it felt like the perfect timing for a crossover.
Epic Games never officially announced plans for a One-Punch Man collaboration, though there have been numerous leaks suggesting one is in the works, and probably coming soon. While it probably won't be here in time for the remaining few days of the current Super season, there are now reports that the One-Punch Man collaboration is expected in the next update, presumably around the start of Chapter 6 Season 4.
Fortnite leaker @SamLeakss claimed that One-Punch Man character skins and cosmetics are expected to arrive shortly. Citing "a very reliable source," it's claimed that the collaboration will include skins for Saitama as well as Genos, and possibly more.
Now it's worth noting that we've heard talk of One-Punch Man coming to Fortnite for a while now, and every time it feels like it's reported that it's coming "in the next update." Many just assumed it would be a part of the Super theme for Season 3. However, it turns out that the alien/monster theme of Season 4 may be a better fit, which kind of does make more sense for One-Punch Man.
In terms of what will be featured, it was previously reported that there will be a Saitama cosmetic set that comes with at least a pickaxe and two emotes. The first emote references the "ok" scene/panel from the anime and manga, and includes a speech bubble. The second emote is still largely a mystery, but is said to include a prop.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 is set to go live on August 7th. The theme of the next season, which is titled "Shock 'N Awesome," will involve a bug invasion. Epic has already confirmed the addition of Halo Spartans as part of the next Battle Pass and has also teased the Power Rangers.
Both the Halo and Power Rangers-themed cosmetics are expected to be a part of the Chapter 6 Season 4 Battle Pass, whereas the One-Punch Man stuff is likely to be sold separately through the Item Shop. There will probably be a discounted bundle for those who want the entire One-Punch Man set, or you'll be able to purchase individual cosmetics separately.
We will probably get more information about this rumored One-Punch Man collaboration on August 7th with the start of the new season.
