One thing most Overwatch fans had been asking for when the game was first launched was that there be a capture the flag mode be added to the list. Fans of Overwatch were familiar with games like Team Fortress 2 and Unreal Tournament, who share vast similarities, having a capture the flag feature.

So fans were simply waiting for when the creative team over at blizzard would get hip and finally give them a capture the flag game mode. Blizzard finally answered those wishes, and in the upcoming Year of The Rooster game event, players will finally be able to get involved in some capture the flag action.

Now, the version of capture the flag that will be included in this event isn't one team trying to take another team's flag. No, they are trying to take another team's rooster. At the bare bones, its still capture the flag, just with some fun added changes.
