Yesterday, the
Overwatch League grand finals took place. During the eSports event, the music producer and DJ by the name of Anton Zaslavski took to the stage. He's better known as Zedd and performed for the crowd with some cool music.
As the musician came on stage during the opening ceremony, a never-before-seen Widowmaker skin was shown off. It's blue, pink and appears to be based on Zedd. On Widowmaker's back, rather than a tattoo of a spider, there's a tattoo of Zedd's logo.
This skin will presumably make its way into
Overwatch itself. Blizzard Entertainment has previously added skins to
Overwatch which are meant to commemorate specific players and Overwatch League teams but not yet any for musicians who have performed during their events — so this would be the first of its kind.
