After much anticipation, Blizzard has finally unveiled the new lore-based archives mission coming to Overwatch next week. In addition to the return of last year's Uprising mission, we'll be getting a brand new PvE co-op mission, Retribution.

The new mission gives players a chance to return to the past and experience a critical Blackwatch operation that ultimately led to the fall of Overwatch.

Retribution once again features a cast of four characters - Blackwatch members McCree, Moira, Genji, and Reyes (before he became Reaper). Set on the new Venice-based map, Rialto, the four set off on a nighttime raid in pursuit of a high-ranking member of the Talon organization. The Retribution event will take place on the Escort map where players must guide the payload along the canals and cobblestone streets of Venice. In addition to the Story Mode, Retribution will feature an All Heroes Mode which allows players to bring in a hero of their choice into the mission.

In addition to Retribution, the Rialto map will also become part of Overwatch's standard PvP, with a daytime Payload variant that will be available for testing soon on the PTR.

More than 160 Archive Loot Box items will be available to unlock during the event, including items from last year's Overwatch Uprising event along with 8 new Legendary skins. Showcased was a new Reaper skin as Gabrial Reyes part of the super soldier program, when he was known as Soldier: 24.

Retribution and Uprising will become available when the Overwatch Archives event goes live from April 10 through April 30 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
