Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is one of the most ambitious crossover events in history. The popular fighting game, though exclusively available on the Nintendo Switch, features a plethora of playable characters from all across the gaming spectrum — from Mario to Solid Snake.
Thus, speculation runs rampant and fans are eager to see some of their favourite characters added to the roster; some of the most popular requested characters being Sora from Kingdom Hearts, Crash Bandicoot from Crash Bandicoot, Doomslayer from Doom, and Waluigi from the Super Mario Bros. series. Not to mention, plenty of the heroes and villains from Overwatch.
Overwatch is another popular video game with an expansive roster of characters that you can play as. Which of these characters would the game's director want to see added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? Well, Jeff Kaplan recently revealed as much during a Reddit AMA. Of course, it's Tracer — who is basically the representative of Overwatch; she's on the game's box art, even.
Lead Hero Designer Geoff Goodman followed up Kaplan's plea with his own. Goodman would want Doomfist added since he's partially inspired by fighting games such as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. In fact, he's such a good fit that you can just effortlessly picture him fighting Kirby and Zelda on Battlefield.
Fingers crossed. Which of Overwatch's heroes and villains would you like to see added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate?
