Earlier this month, the first LEGO set based on Overwatch was officially revealed, and now less-officially we've got our first look at the rest of the sets that are in the pipeline.
Images of six upcoming sets were briefly able to be viewed on Target's website. The page has since been taken down, but not before many were able to save and spread the images. LEGO fansite The Brick Fan reported the details regarding each set as well as their price.
The pictures can be viewed in the Imgur album below:
The set names, numbers, piece-amounts, and prices can be seen in the list below:
-
Tracer vs. Widowmaker (75970) – 129 pieces/$14.99
-
Hanzo vs. Genji (75971)- 197 pieces/$19.99
-
Dorado Showdown (75972) – 419 pieces/$29.99
-
D.Va & Reinhardt (75973) – 455 pieces/$39.99
-
Bastion (75974) – 602 pieces/$49.99
-
Watchpoint: Gibraltar (75975) – 730 pieces/$89.99
The first two on the list both seem to be based on animated shorts which Blizzard released in promotion of Overwatch back in 2016 - the "Tracer vs. Widowmaker" set being a recreation of the "Alive" short and rhe "Hanzo vs. Genji" set being a recreation of the "Dragons" short. The "Dorado Showdown" set isn't an officially canon event which took place within the lore of Overwatch however it is based on the in-game map "Dorado" and features the likes of Reaper, Soldier 76, and McCree.
The "D.Va & Reinhardt" set is pretty self-explanatory. It includes two mech like creations as well as a minifigure of D.Va herself - which fits inside her mech. "Bastion" is also a more complicated, larger build. Many were disappointed that the earlier revealed "Omnic Bastion" set wasn't able to transform like the chracter would in-game nor did it much look like the iconic design from the game, thankfully this set quells all of those complaints.
"Watchpoint: Gibraltar" being the most expensive set is also the largest. Again, it's a recreation of an in-game map and features four characters: Reaper, Mercy, Pharah, and a big-fig Winston. The three heroes are taking on the haunting villain amid a space shuttle's launch.
What do you think of the sets? Which are you most interested in? Which other characters and/or maps would you like to see recreated in LEGO form?
Overwatch is out now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
