PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has become the first video game in Steam's history to keep a million players connected daily for more than a year. As explained in MCVUK, the data has been provided by SteamDB and show that the user community is solid despite its loss of popularity after the rise of other popular battle royale games.
PUBG started its journey in this record on September 8th, 2017, when the game brought together 1,028,275 players in its servers for more than 24 hours.
Since then, there has not been a day in which the million connected users have descended, something that is worthy of praise. The peak was reached on January 13th, 2018, with more than 3,257,248 users playing the battle royale at the same time.
The title has been maintaining its community with ups and downs, the lowest being September 5th, with 1,005,484 online players. Yes, the numbers have been falling since January as reported in various media, it seems that the Epic Games title has made a dent.
Although you can see peaks in Twitch and its broadcasts, especially after the PGI PUBG Global on July 27th - in which players like Ninja and DrDisRespect beat the copper -, the truth is that Fortnite has taken away market share.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is available on PC, Xbox One and mobile platforms.
