Some might believe that PUBG Corp is only capable of creating battle royale games, but that is definitely not the case. The company is currently working on something new, and from what we've gathered, former Dead Space and Call of Duty veteran has joined the fray.

Chances are, this new video game is a shooter that is more story driven when compared to what PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds is today. Certainly, it was not possible for PUBG corp to rely heavily on its hit video game, so branching out to something else was inevitable.

Now, the veteran in question is no other than Glen Schofield, who is the co-founder of both Visceral Games and Sledgehammer games, and he had the following to say:

“Throughout my career, I’ve had a lot of opportunities to make some remarkable games that tell incredible stories, and each of them has meant something special to me,” Schofield said in a press release. “But now, those learnings will help me build a AAA team that can explore new designs and concepts at Striking Distance.”

At his new job., Schofield is tasked with heading a studio known as Striking Distance. The idea behind the creation of this new studio is to create AAA games, and for sure, the first title will likely be a shooter.
