FACEIT, an independent competitive platform with prominent ties to a multitude of eSports titles, has announced today they are accepting players into their Closed Beta testing for their newest matchmaking system in
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (
PUBG). FACEIT allows players to matchmake in Player vs Player (PvP) games in a much more competitive environment. They have their own ranking and ladder system, and for games such as
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, they allow matches to be played on better servers.
FACEIT currently has matchmaking systems for
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), League of Legends,
DotA 2, and
Rocket League and is only useable on PC. The matchmaking system will allow for easier Tournament setups using their platform, detailed statistics that are updated after each map, and of course the ladder system, which will signify exactly where players stand compared to their peers.
Using their independent platform will also feature it's own anti-cheat software, something that has been a deterrent for hackers especially using their
CS:GO FACEIT matchmaking feature.
Applications for their Closed Beta can be found on their official blog post
here, with testing of their platform beginning in a couple days on
August 17th.
In other FACEIT news, They will also host the 13th major for
CS:GO later this year, which features a $1 million prize pool and will be held at the famous Wembley Arena.
