Despite the fact that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds update 1.0, which included the Xbox One X graphics enhancements, recently came to Xbox One, the game was experiencing framerate problems. The developers have now reduced the game's graphics to improve its performance.
PUBG Corp. has revealed in a new publication that PUBG on Xbox One X has seen its graphic quality reduced to improve performance, but that it will be temporary.
The main problem that has motivated this decrease in the quality of the graphics have been the falls in the FPS. Therefore, the team has decided to decrease the graphic quality of the game temporarily while working on a solution.
While the resolution of the game and the quality of the textures will remain unchanged, it is true that there are a number of graphic effects that will be disabled or changed to a lower configuration.
The quality of the shadows and the environmental occlusion of the screen space decreases its quality, along with the amount of total particles in each scene. The blurring, the depth of field, the flashes, reflections or refractions, as well as the subsurface dispersion are deactivated.
PUBG Corp. has apologized for this decision, adding that this is only "a temporary solution". The development team is also working on the implementation of two graphics modes for Xbox One X: one favors the speed of the FPS and the other the quality of the graphics.
