Star Wars Battlefront has a handful of single player modes which can be played with a friend via splitscreen, but you need an online account to really take advantage of everything the game has to offer. One of the biggest complaints directed at it so far has of course been that those - the extremely popular "Walker Assault" for example - aren't available offline, but that might be about to change.
The mode was seemingly discovered by a Reddit user (as you can see in the video below). If this is legitimate, players will soon have access to offline Instant Action, a feature which they've been crying out for for some time now. Being able to play the likes of "Walker Assault" and "Fighter Squadron" alone or with friends will be a real game changer, especially for fans of games with a local co-op mode.
An actual single player mode is seemingly being held back for the Star Wars Battlefront sequel, but if and when this is made available to players, it will certainly help make the wait for that a little easier.
